The bread box took about 30 minutes to put together. Assembly wasn’t too difficult to put together, but the instructions are a little confusing. I put it together alone, but at different stages it would’ve been easier if I had an extra pair of hands, which would have reduced my assembly time.The bread box is sturdy and is of nice quality. I currently have a loaf of white bread, a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread, and 3 & 1/2 packs of hot dog buns. I especially like the little shelf on top because it allows for storage of other things, like a butter dish, maybe a small jar of peanut butter and jelly, or like, me I have placed a pack of cookies on the shelf.I highly recommend!

You have to put this together, it’s a bit tricky but one person can do it easily. The instructions for me were easy to follow but I’m used to those types of instructions. Really look at the pictures closely. When putting the final side on don’t screw the screws all the way, leave them about half way so you can pop the doors in. Then screw the whole side down tight is my tip. It’s sturdy and looks exactly as depicted in the picture. I wouldn’t recommend to put a bread knife in the slot as it would chew up the wood over time. The slot is perfect for a couple knife sharpening steels. As far as how fresh it would keep homemade bread or bakery that’s up in the air as I have no clue but I’m going to line the bottom with wax paper which might help with freshness.

I bought this to hold the two-pack bread loaves from Sam’s and still have a shelf for smaller items on the counter. Assembly was easy. Tool was included with kit.The door ALMOST closes with both loaves inside. The door doesn’t quite touch but it doesn’t fall. 👍🏼Higher quality than expected. Good value item. Sturdy construction. Nice looking.
